Copper/Sterling work is created by combining sterling and copper under extremely high temperatures until the point at which the two metals fuse together. All earwires are made of sterling silver and have been individually fabricated. As a stabilizing finish has been applied, cleaning is not necessary, as pieces will take on their own patina over time.
Sterling/Gold designs are mostly one-of-a kind, and consist of sterling silver fused with 14k. gold. A variety of earrings, brooches and pendants are available through special order. Pendants come with an 18" sterling snake style link chain but may be ordered with a special handmade neckwire for an extra $50.00. Retail prices range from $60-$135 for earring designs, $165-$275 for brooches, and $200-$500 for pendants.
Titanium is a high-tech ultra-light metal that has many personalities, and presents a number of challenges to the metal artist. These include its remarkable strength and rigidity, as well as its resistance to traditional soldering methods, forcing one to create innovative joining techniques.
Three times stronger than steel but nearly half the weight, it is the most hypo-allergenic metal known due to its chemical inertness. The colors on titanium are produced by electro-chemical or thermal treatment, resulting in an extremely robust oxide layer that refracts light.
These colors are permanent and can easily be restored by washing with soapy water if necessary. All pieces are made from C.P. Grade 1 (commercially pure) titanium. Earring posts on stud designs are titanium and hooks are sterling silver. Because of the unique anodizing process involved, variations in color may occur and all pieces as a result are consequently unique.
